1. The distance between the mobile phone webcam and scanning technical documents is moderate.

The camera was too far away from the book to identify which page it was scanning. The camera was too close and the edge of the book was not on the picture, so naturally it was unrecognizable. Here are two examples of errors.

2. Contrast the scanned file with the background color.

The software will identify the outline according to the color difference, and if the colors are too close, the outline recognition will be wrong. In the image below, for example, Agee uses a very exaggerated state to demonstrate that the software might default to the range of white paper as the outline of the scanned document.

In addition, when the background is a stripe pattern with little color difference from the scanning technical file, the same situation may also occur, which is something we can avoid in advance.

Try not to put anything in the scan area.
